Rated Sections:

Primary Swiss  – K-4 Under 600 (4 rounds) Designed for K-4 students with an unrated or a rating below 600.

Elementary Swiss – K-7 Under 900 (4 rounds): Open to K-7 students with an unrated or a rating below 900.

Championship Swiss – K-12 Under 1300 (4 rounds): Open to K-12 students with an unrated or a rating below 1300.

The fee is $50 until 01/04, $55 until 01/11, and after that $60. On-site registration is allowed, but participants may not be allowed to play in the first round.

All participants must check-in no later than 12:15 pm.

The first round begins at 12:30pm. The following 2-3-4 rounds begin as soon as the last game of the section is completed.

4SS– All chess players will play four (4) rounds regardless of their results.

Byes: Single half-point bye available for any round, including the final round.

  • For Round 1, bye must be requested in advance entry or online by 11 pm the day before the tournament.
  • For later rounds, bye must be requested before the published start time of Round 1.
  • 0-point byes available for all rounds.
  • Chief TD can grant a half-point bye for any round, except the last round, in exceptional circumstances.

AWARDS:

US Chess Federation Membership:

Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 players in all sections, along with a trophy for the best team. Additionally, any player who scores 3 or more points but doesn’t win a trophy will receive a medal.

Select the Youth membership. One (1) year membership is $20.00.

Notes:
Chess Set: While chess sets and and scoresheets are provided, kindly bring your own chess clock if you wish to use one.

Please bring a pencil to record your game and, if you have one, a chess clock.

Please keep in mind that photographs will be taken during the event.
